I haven't seen a thread that covers this but if there is I'm sorry for starting this one.Anyways when I started the academy I was totally unprepared for events that happened.Well my party ran in with no plan at all.I'm not even sure if we had henchmen since everything happened so fast.Being the main tank it was my duty to get agro.Unfortunately my party mates didn't see it that way.Long story short all my party members died and I was left alone.I lived to finish off the mobs on my own and then I saw the searing cutscene.Was there a mission or was it just to live to the end to see the searing cutscene?And is doing it solo an acomplishment?Thanks for any info

It's not really a mission, so much as it's just a little story. The Drill Sargeant shows up in the beginning, and decides that it would be a good 'test' to have the player and their group (i've only ever done it with henchmen, myself) go into the cave that houses the old bunkers, because the Grawl have taken up residence there, and they want them cleaned out.
So you head in there to thrash some less advanced life forms, and when you make it to the end of the caves (and defeat the last group) you see the cinematic of Ascalon getting hit by the searing. Basically, you can think of that area as a setup to get your character someplace out of harm's way (the bunkers) while still being able to witness the Searing.
